Phoenix Childcare is housed in a beautifully restored barn conversion and operates on 2 floors. Upstairs you will find our cosy Baby Cubs Room, which caters for babies from 3 months up to toddlers of approximately 2 years old. This warm and friendly environment provides sensory opportunities for developing bodies and inquiring minds. We are strong believers in learning through messy play, such as Jelly play, gloop, play dough, water and sand. Children are given the opportunity to explore the outside in the morning and afternoons. Our Out of School Club is also located upstairs, in a separate room.

Downstairs is Little Cubs, a spacious room for 2 to 3 year olds, with a door which leads straight out into the garden. There is a large area for messy activities and tabletop play, the lower end of the room provides an area for stories, singing, floor play and rests. Next door is the Tigers Room, for children aged 3 to school age. Within this room we promote children’s independence in preparation for school. Activities are slightly more structured and follow the early years foundation stage, however still ensuring that there are plenty of child-initiated opportunities. The room has large floor to ceiling windows with two doors, one that opens directly into the garden.

We are very proud of our huge outdoor play area, where all the children are given the opportunity to explore and enjoy ‘bigger’ experiences as well as learning about their environment and how to look after it. As we are able to use other facilities within Gaudet Luce Golf Club , there are additional special events for both children and adults to enjoy.
